i can always remember Jim recounting the story of when he was about 19 or 20, taking me to Morden to buy some eggs in my pushchair. Unfortunately the route was via the White Bridge, which had quite a steep decline;  And me, being childlike, asked him to push me faster down the hill, which he did, breaking most of the eggs!
